Temperature sensor -40..140°C, replaced by BT05i

The CMA Temperature sensor BT01 is a general-purpose temperature sensor that can be used to measure temperature in liquids (water, mild acidic solutions) and air. The sensor can record temperature in the range of -20°C to 140°C.
The sensing element of the sensor is NTC thermistor, which is positioned in a stainless steel tube. The thermistor is a variable resistor whose resistance decreases nonlinearly with increasing temperature. The best-fit approximation of this non-linear characteristic is the so-called Stein¬hart-Hart equation.

The Temperature sensor can be used in a variety of experiments, such as:
• Monitoring indoor and outdoor temperatures.
• Monitoring freezing and boiling water.
• Monitoring endothermic and exothermic reactions.
• Specific heat experiments.
• Insulation investigations.
• Solar energy studies.

The sensor has a built-in resistor for automatic sensor identification and can be directly connected to analog BT inputs of the CMA interfaces.

Technical specifications of the sensor are descibed it its User's guide.
