The Humidity sensor ML48m measures relative humidity in a range of 0 to 100% RH and temperature in the range -20 to 50°C (or -4 .. 122 °F ) . The sensor should not be used in temperatures above 70°C. Two sensing elements (humidity and temperature) are placed inside the sensor box. The slots in the end cap of the sensor allow air circulation. The sensor working will vary considerably with the amount of air circulation i.e. it will respond more quickly with an increase in movement of air.
The Humidity sensor can be used to measure relative humidity of air as part of a weather station, or to:
• Study transpiration rates of plants by monitoring relative humidity in sealed jars containing plants.
• Optimize conditions in a greenhouse or terrarium.
• Determine good days for static electric demonstrations.
• Weather studies.
The Humidity sensor ML48m is a digital sensor (on-sensor digital conversion), which gives calibrated values of the measured quantity. This sensor can only
be connected to the CMA MoLab interface and not to other CMA interfaces such as VinciLab, CoachLab II+ or EuroLab.
